Nut Butter Energy Balls

Updated: Nov 12, 2021

These nut butter energy balls are quick and easy to make, requiring very little prep and absolutely no cooking. Win-win, right?

Prep time: 15 mins

"Cook" time: none

Serves: 66 energy balls

Here's everything you're going to need:

  • 4 cups organic oats

  • 1/2 cup coconut flakes

  • 1/2 cup hemp seeds

  • 1/4 cup milled flax seeds

  • 26oz NuttZo (or nut butter of choice)

  • 1 1/2 cups honey

*oats can be replaced with coconut flakes for a grain-free option

Here's how to do it:

  1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

  3. Using your hands (WARNING: they'll get sticky), knead all ingredients together for a few minutes until evenly combined.

  4. Use a tablespoon to scoop the "dough" and roll it into balls. Set the balls on the parchment paper. (Makes about 66)

  5. The energy balls can be enjoyed immediately or put in the refrigerator to make them more firm. Store in an air-tight container.

I hope you enjoy these energy balls as much as my family does, and thank you so much for being part of Freedom Living! If you have a recipe you love and would like to have featured on the website, please feel free to send it in an e-mail. I'm always looking for ways to switch it up!

These are a delicious fan-favorite at our house! They are such an easy treat to whip up. I love that I can make them grain-free by adding coconut flakes. Sometimes we even add raisins or other ingredients to change it up a bit!
